Classic Metal Woods
The G2 Driver earned the distinction
of winning on Tour several times before it was even officially introduced. Also popular with non-professionals, the G2 Driver was the top selling driver model in the U.S. for eight straight months in 2005. Longer, straighter and more forgiving than any previous PING driver, the G2 utilizes advanced design techniques and manufacturing processes to improve performance for golfers of all abilities:
- A precision milled, variable-thickness face creates increased energy transfer for longer drives
- The face is robotically plasma welded to the driver body for strength and durability
- 460cc body with internal weight pads has a high moment of inertia for maximum forgiveness
In addition to the standard
G2 driver model, two 400cc 15.5° drivers, the G2L (ladies) and G2EZ were also produced. The additional loft provides the optimal launch angle for maximum distance for players with slower swing speeds.
G2 fairway woods utilized
the same technology, and were available in #3 (12 or 14 degrees), #5 (17 degrees), #7 (20 degrees), #9 (23 degrees) and L (26 degrees). These fairway woods were color-coded in one of three lie angles (Green, Black & Orange) to help correct hooks and slices.
The G2 Driver and fairway woods have been discontinued, but some lofts are still available. Please contact your local PING retailer for availability.

Identical in design to the original Si3
Driver, the Si3 340 had a simplified color code system which reduced the number of color codes from twelve to three. Each of the three color codes represented a different lie angle, which helps golfers control hooks and slices.

The Si3 380 Driver featured
a slightly larger head size than the previous 340cc model for increased perimeter weighting and forgiveness. The 380cc head also had a softer radius for a more rounded appearance in the address position, and increased bulge and roll face geometry.
Using the same simplified color code
system as the Si3 340, the Si3 380 offered three different color-coded lie angles to help golfers control hooks and slices.

The Si3 Driver raised the bar
in driver design with a fully forged face that wrapped around and connected to the body of the driver, producing a more efficient energy transfer.
Original Si3 Drivers can be identified
by the absence of the "340" or "380" below the "Si3" logo on the sole. These drivers were available with one of 12 color codes, which helped golfers reduce undesirable hooks and slices by creating different combinations of lie angle and face angle

The TiSI Tec driver improved
on the custom-fit TiSI titanium driver by making it even longer. New Chemical Milling Technology (CMT) made the walls of the driver thinner and stronger. The weight removed from the walls was redistributed in the form of internal weight pads that optimized the spin rate of the golf ball for a significant increase in distance.
New hosel positions
were also introduced with the TiSI Tec. The thermoplastic JX hosel was available in 8 combinations of face angle and lie angle to help a golfer better control hooks and slices.
TiSI Tec fairway woods,
available in four lofts, had a zirconium soleplate which was welded to the titanium body. A sister metal to titanium, zirconium is 50 percent heavier than titanium. Combined with a tungsten bottom weight, this gave the TiSI Tec fairway woods a low center of gravity. These fairway woods also had internal weight pads which were positioned progressively farther from the face as loft increased to optimize lift and spin for each club. TiSI Tec fairway woods also incorporated the JX Hosel in eight configurations for improved control.
TiSI Tec Drivers are no longer available. TiSI Tec fairway woods (except RH #3) are still available.

At 323 cc, the TiSI driver
was the largest, totally custom-fit titanium driver available. It was also one of the longest, as evidenced by the number of players who chose it at the National Long Drive Championships year after year.
Several unique, patented innovations
in metal wood design were incorporated in the TiSI, helping golfers of all ability levels hit longer, straighter drives:
- The Parallel Top & Sole created a rigid club head that transferred more energy to the ball than a conventionally-shaped driver, resulting in greater distance.
- The patented Variable-thickness Face was thinner around the perimeter with more mass behind the ball to create a high Coefficient of Restitution.
- The multi-functional JX Hosel, available in 14 different configurations, combined face offset and lie angle to help a golfer gain directional control of his or her drives.
- The Elliptical Back weight, located directly behind the impact area, created a long "moment arm" for a high moment of inertia.

The Ti3 Fairway Woods were introduced
with the TiSI Driver and utilized the same proven performance features, such as the parallel top and sole, strategically placed elliptical back weight, variable thickness club face and a multiple hosel options to help the golfer achieve their desired shot shape.
These titanium fairway woods
had a zirconium soleplate and a pure tungsten bottom weight to lower the center of gravity and produce the optimum ball trajectory.

PING engineers designed the i3 Driver
for players who preferred the size and feel of a stainless steel driver. With the same design features of the TiSI Driver—including a parallel top and sole, strategically placed elliptical back weight, variable thickness club face and a multiple hosel options—the i3 Driver also offered workability due to the smaller head size.
Compact fairway woods featured
a shorter radius sole, making it easier to hit solid shots from all types of lies. The full face helped prevent skied or popped-up shots, and the tungsten bottom weight lowered the center of gravity for optimal trajectory.
